Stephen Early is an OSCOV judge and Awards Secretary of the OSCOV Judging Panel. He is also a member of the OSCOV Executive, with responsibility for publicity via the Internet. Stephen is a member of the OSCOV Speakers’ Panel, his main topics being orchids and computers, species cymbidiums and paphiopedilums. He and his wife Meryl specialise in species cymbidiums and paphiopedilums.
Alan Hope is an OSCOV judge and Deputy Liaison Officer of the OSCOV Judging Panel. He is an associate editor of the Australian Orchid Review and an associate editor of the Journal of the Orchid Species Society of Victoria. Alan is a member of the OSCOV Speakers’ Panel and lectures on paphiopedilums, Asian orchid travels and orchid culture. He grows a wide range of orchids, specialising in paphiopedilums.
John Kenter is an OSCOV Judge. He grows a wide range of orchids at his home in Moe (Gippsland); cymbidiums and masdevallias are his special favourites.
Issy Klein was a foundation member of the OSCOV Judging Panel and the OSCOV Executive. He was presented with the OSCOV Distinguished Service Award when he retired from these positions. He is still a member of the OSCOV Speakers’ Panel and has spoken at the meetings of many member societies. Issy is especially well known for his success in hybridising disas and Australian native dendrobiums.
Bill Mather is an OSCOV judge and Secretary of the OSCOV Judging Panel. He is also Assistant Secretary of the OSCOV Executive and Patron of the West Melbourne Orchid Society. Bill is a member of the OSCOV Speakers’ Panel; his topics include judging, paphiopedilums, phalaenopsis and general culture.
Brian Milligan is an OSCOV judge and holds the position of Liaison Officer on the OSCOV Executive. He is editor of the monthly bulletin of the North East Melbourne Orchid Society, editor of the Journal of the Orchid Species Society of Victoria, and an associate editor of the Australian Orchid Review. He is also a director of the Australian Orchid Foundation. Brian has spoken at many member societies on species orchids, disas and orchid history. He and his wife Lorraine grow a wide range of orchids, with special interests in species orchids, disas, masdevallias and Australian native dendrobiums.
Ross Pascoe lives at Kerang and is a past-President of the Mid-Murray Orchid Society, former editor of its monthly bulletin and a member of the OSCOV Judging Panel. His special interests are cymbidiums and members of the cattleya alliance.
Dieter Weise is a senior OSCOV Judge and for many years was Training Officer of the OSCOV Judging Panel. He grows a wide range of orchids and is widely recognised as one of the premier growers of species orchids in Victoria. Dieter’s special interests are the cultivation, propagation and hybridisation of South American orchids.
