The annual OSCOV Show and Melbourne Orchid Spectacular will be held at the Springers Leisure Centre. It has grown to be the largest annual show held in Australia and features stands from many Victorian and often Interstate Societies as well as a number of displays by leading commercial growers. The show will incude over 25 Commercial sellers (from local and interstate and overseas) to give growers the best chance to purchase plants. We have combined with the Victorian International Orchid Fair to provide the best avalaible sellers. Springers Leisure Centre is on Cheltenham Rd Keysborough. This will be the major orchid event for this year and many years to come so dont miss out.
A number of minor changes have been made to the show. This year as with similar large shows such as the Australian Orchid Conference the show will be an open show but the juniors section will be retained. When the show was an open show in the past it was generally won by non commercial growers. We hope to have a schedule published in the next few weeks on the OSCOV website. This year we will be holding a seminar on the Saturday featuring 4 well known International speakers. These are:

I would have to go back over 20 years since such a group of international speakers have all talked at the one venue in Melbourne. The cost will be $50 per person which includes entrance to the show and sales. Numbers are limited to 100 and a number of tickets have already been sold. Also on the Saturday night we have the Annual OSCOV dinner and presentation of Orchids of the Year. For those staying on for the dinner after the talks or visiting the show there are changing rooms and showers available.
