CYMBIDIUM LOVERS

Would you like to know more about Cymbidiums? Then why not join the friendly and helpful Cymbidium Orchid Society of Victoria Inc.

The Cymbidium Orchid Society of Victoria Inc., was formed on 27th June 1991. The objective of the club is to improve the standard culture and hybridising of the Cymbidium Orchid - 'the King of Orchids'.

Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month (except January) at the Waverley Youth Centre, Miller Crescent, Mount Waverley, Vic. (Melway 70E1) (opposite Mount Waverley Railway Station). Meetings start at 8.00pm. and a cup of tea or coffee is available from 7.30 p.m. A basket supper is provided at the conclusion of our meetings, which gives everyone a chance to mingle and chat.

The Cymbidium Orchid is one of the hardiest outdoor plants grown in the southern hemisphere.

Visitors are most welcome to our monthly meetings where we present beautiful orchids and programmes that are varied and educational.

Annual membership includes six copies of The Australian Orchid Review, delivered by mail to your home. We have a monthly newsletter to keep everyone informed on important dates, events etc.

Guest speakers include some from overseas, interstate and local cymbidium growers and suppliers of materials used in the growing of cymbidiums.

The 2007 AUSTRALIAN CYMBIDIUM ORCHID FESTIVAL will be held in the Ararat Performing Arts Centre, Town Hall - Barkly St. ARARAT on September 8th. from 10am to 5pm  & September 9th.  from 10am to 4pm.
